Last night most of my night was wasted trying to fix my sister's dumb computer. She had been text messaging me some whines during the day that her ISP was not working so I drove over there to check it out. SHe had been on phone support with the people in India for most of the day, but naturally they were useless. She was tyring to set up 'people pc' that 10 buck a month isp you see on TV. (She is too cheap to get a cable modem so do not even suggest it.) What a load of garbage that people pc is. As far as i'm concerned an ISP should only need to give you three things, an access number a login and a password. This whole 'install propiertary software that installs garbage all over your computer' is just stupid. Finally I gave up (their software kept crashing on her machine) and I told her I would find her another ISP. There is a big list of them here:

While I was working her big dawg came over and drooled on me.
So after that I drove home (wow it sure get's dark fast) and farted about
my house for a bit. Loafed and watched 'Stargate' and then some of that History channel's crusades documentry. It's really very good. One of the things that amazes me the most about that period was how many great leaders die from stupid things. Like falling off a horse or some shit like that.
Just before bed I went out and soaked in my tub for a while. Aaah, divine. It was nice and starry out and a slight breeze kept the bugs away. I like how the steam arises from the water surface. It's like some sort of zen hot springs in my backyard.
