A great bike ride down riverwalk. One of the best times to go is directly
after a thunderstorm. Then hardly anyone is out there.
I rode out to the edge of a grass covered pier. For the first time I noticed
they had made a neat design indicating the four points of a compass by
cleverly arranging two different types of grass. I parked my bike and say at the
very edge of the pier. The water was whipping up in the wind, and off in the
distance lightning bolts streaked across the sky. As I sat there with my legs
crossed, Styx 'Man of miracles' played in my headphones. It was a very relaxing
moment indeed.
On the ride back I noticed:
A couple in love.
A black lady on a bench, bent over, crying.
An Asian man with a piece of paper, loudly reciting something to himself.
A white trash couple, fishing
Two kids on scooters.
Two men who were probably gay.
E
One loner, sitting on a bench, glaring angrily into the lake.
An alligator drifting in the chopping water, oblivious to any form of
human emotion or drama that may be taking place on dry land in front of him.
When I got home, I blasted Inna-gadda-divita on my stereo. My two young cats
gave each other a glance that said: Big Furless Cat is Noisy.
I also dipped into my wine cube. Yes, 7-11 sells wine cubes. Alas, the wine
is not very good, and It cost too much, however I was delighted by the very fact
you could buy wine in a cube.
