A brief recap of my weekend...
Saturday z0rb dropped by and helped me set up a second satellite dish in my backyard. He had it up and going in under 15 minutes, and a whole stream of new television stations that I will probably never watch came pouring into my television. Nice. I moved the whole setup to my living room so I can enjoy it all in surround sound. Of course, the pole in my side yard sporting two television dishes looks a little suspicious, but I figure no one is going to be any wiser. At least not in Sanford.

Saturday night I went with Alan to the draft house to see that 'unfortunate series of events' movie. When I stepped up to the window to buy my ticket, there was a girl in there who was bouncing up and down. (I thought she might have been jiggling to some music, but I did not hear anything.). When she saw me she stopped bouncing, her jaw dropped open to reveal gleaming double rows of braces and she asked in an awed tone of voice "Is tha
t your REAL hair?".

At first I was apprehensive about that movie theater. It was filled up with kids. Everyone knows groups of kids and movie theaters don’t mix. However, much to my surprise, there was no running around, no screeching, no throwing things or even any overly giggling. I even forgot they were there. My theory is that the kids who came to see this movie read books, and kids who read books are general more well behaved than kids who spent most of their day's parked in front of the TV watching MTV's Big Weekend Booty Bash.

The wings I ordered were wicked hot, but they were pretty good. I downed them down with a picture of beer, and ended up paying for that around 4AM the following morning. But it was worth it.

Sunday I decided to play hermit and just puttered around the house. I had this giant beef roast that I had bought earlier that week for 10 bucks. I ended up tenderizing it and that grilling that huge biatch on my grill. I ate some, the cat's ate some, and I stil
l have a huge hunk of it sitting in my fridge. Spiffy.
Speaking of cats, studies show women like men who like cats. Go figure.

This morning I went to Albertson’s about bought an expensive jar of honey, even though I still have half a gallon back at my house. Problem is I never remember to pick up a container to pour some in and thus always forget to bring it to work. I need honey for my coffee, dammit. Since I am a honey snob I ended up buying some special honey that is made from blueberry flowers. It's very light yet dark. Nice.
My mom just wrote to me saying that she found a musical keyboard in someone's garbage and snagged it for me. (my mom is not above a little garbage picking.) I asked what it was and she said 'big'. So I have to wait until tonight to find out.
